Hi. Welcome to my blog. This is my first time creating a blog and it was totally frustrating.  However, I finally got it to work and I am glad for that.  I am excited to take this grammar class because I don't remember most of what I learned in grammar during my early schooling and I have always felt unprepared in college grammar wise. I look forward to learning more about grammar so that I can adequately teach my students in the future.  I can't believe how much I have forgotten as I have gotten older. It will be interesting to re-learn all that I have forgotten and I hope it will improve my ability to write.  I have always loved writing and reading and look forward to improving my skills.  I work as a preschool teacher and I love teaching my students.  Right now we are teaching the children to write their letters and for some it is easy and for others very difficult. I also teach toddlers who are very sweet.  Even at this young age children are beginning to learn about grammar and when they speak you can hear all the common mistakes that young learners make.  It is great to be a part of their early beginnings in language learning and to have an influence on their lives during this important time period.  My passion for teaching began when I was very young.  As a fifth grade student I was required to make a picture of what I wanted to be when I grew up.  I drew a picture of myself as a teacher and now I have accomplished that goal. Even though over the years my goals changed off and on as I got older, in the end I came back to where I began and followed my initial dream.  I also love traveling, languages and learning about cultures.  This is why I chose to study TESOL for my Master's degree.  I would love to someday go abroad and teach English in a foreign country in the summer time.  After finishing my Master's degree I would like to study more languages.  At the moment I don't have enough free time to do it, so I have to wait until I've graduated.
I hope you will enjoy reading my blog. I am looking forward to reading your comments.

Grammar Point:
In my blog I used several different tenses.  When I wrote, "This is my first time creating a blog," I wrote the sentence in the present tense.   I also used the past tense.  One example of the past tense is shown in the sentence, "As a fifth grade student I was required to make a picture of what I wanted to be when I grew up."
The paragraph also contains the future tense.  An example of the future tense can be seen in the sentence, " have always loved writing and reading and look forward to improving my skills."  Can you find other sentences in my paragraph that include the present, past and future tenses?  After searching the paragraph, please write a paragraph about yourself using the present, past and future tenses.  Please write about what you like to do now, your past accomplishments, and what you would like to be in the future.   Please use at least 3 of the vocabulary words in your paragraph.
